AXAP18253 Country Accountant - 12 month FTC. Country Accountant. Key Responsibilities: Manage and complete the underwriting transactional accounting processes including posting entries directly into general ledger. Completion of monthly financial transactional accounting and reporting to required deadlines and in accordance with financial policies and procedures. Perform account reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis, drive resolution of any issues to ensure accounts are reconciled and pass quality review and discuss reconciliation issues Controller to ensure deadlines met. Drive agreed transactional accounting process standardisation and automations. Assist Country Controller in the completion of all local tax and regulatory requirements (Corporate tax returns, Insurance Tax, etc.) Completion of all local tax and regulatory requirements (Corporate tax returns, Insurance Tax, etc.) Reconciliation of operating systems to general ledger. Reconciliation from UK GAAP to Local GAAP. Support finance team with any system and process changes required to migrate to Copernic GL. Maintain control over receivables, payables and claims payments. Drive resolution of any data issues impacting financial data with support of Controller. This list is not exhaustive, additional reasonable duties may be required from time to time. Skills & Experience: Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA. Educated to degree level with major in Finance. Multinational experience (preferably within Insurance industry. Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiastic with a proactive attitude. Ability to manage change and work to tight deadlines. Strong analytical, accounting, presentation and communication skills. Self-motivated and organised with good attention to detail. Team player.
