AXAP18258-Shared Services Financial Accountant – 12 month Contract. Key Responsibilities Manage and complete the monthly expense accounting close for specific regions / countries / processes within the required timelines. Ensure all monthly / quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with defined policy. Full and accurate review and commentary on all Expense and Balance Sheet reports, review with Manager and follow up on all points raised. Reporting of financial results and support to relevant regional / country Controllers and Financial Planning team. Supporting the UK GAAP reporting teams through analytical reviews including specific year-end requirements to tight deadlines. Responsive and proactive management of all external and internal audit and control questions as required. Identification of areas for process improvement, automation and centralisation of work and implementation thereof. Analysis and review of intercompany balances, understanding of related processes and driving areas for improvement. Completion of statutory reporting requirements including VAT and CSO returns. Additional activities as assigned including participation in business projects. Key Skills / Qualifications Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA. Post-qualification experience within Financial Control and Reporting. Multinational experience (preferably within Insurance industry. Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiastic with a proactive effective attitude. Ability to manage change and work to tight deadlines. Strong analytical, accounting, presentation and communication skills. Self motivated and organised with good attention to detail. Team player. Strong systems skills with experience of an ERP system, reporting / analytical tools. Proficient with Microsoft office suite.
