PE Global is currently recruiting a Research Engineer, ideally with a PhD qualification, for a client based in Limerick The role will involve writing up of research proposals and management of researchers. ROLE: Work with research laboratories in projects to develop automation solutions for client. Liaise with the different teams to understand business opportunities. Put in place the appropriate legal agreements, write funding applications and manage research budgets. Support funding applications for different areas of automation and Industry. Provide guidance to other staff and students in own specialist area, including supervising and assessing undergraduate projects. Take part in knowledge-transfer activities, including collaborative meetings with other research groups. Maintain knowledge and understanding within the field/specialism, transforming and applying knowledge acquired from scholarship to research. Identify appropriate resources and technical requirements for research projects. Work with all relevant project teams to deliver project on time and on budget with the required quality level. Ensure compliance with each client procedures, cGMP, recognized quality standards and regulatory expectation. REQUIREMENTS: PhD in an engineering discipline. 2 years experience in a research environment after PhD. 1 year experience working in industry. Project Management Professional with experience managing Research projects. Integration of R&D Programs into Manufacturing Operations. DESIRABLE: Experience setting up legal agreements. Successful funding history. Experience in managing European funded projects. Process Excellence – Six Sigma Blackbelt certified.
