SENIOR CONSULTANT, MIDDLE OFFICE ASSET SERVICING OTC (HFS. Role. The job involves working for a Global fund administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The position requires good experience and background in middle office including familiarity with OTC products and life cycle event processing. The successful candidate is a strong performer with and who takes ownership of responsibilities and achieving objectives. Team focus and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment is essential. This person is proactive in resolving conflict and demonstrates exemplary follow-through. He/she adds value by working on a number of simultaneous tasks/projects with minimal supervision while paying special attention to detail. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and works well with partner areas. Familiarity with SWIFT, DTCC, MTM, Markitwire, ICE Link, Traiana and OTC markets, products and settlements is extremely beneficial. Responsibilities. Efficiently identifies and resolves transaction discrepancies between firm and swap counterparties. Ensuring timely receipt of electronic-based OTC confirmations from trading counterparties. Reviewing swap confirmations covering all OTC products such as total return swaps, equity options, structured equity products, convertible bond options, credit defaults, rates and fixed income products. Managing the settlement of swap cash flows associated with OTC products, including unwinds, quarterly fees, resets, upfront fees, coupons and premiums. Assisting in monitoring daily trade capture of OTC trades and exception queue monitoring. Reviewing corporate action bookings and dividends/coupons to ensure correctly affecting position. Assisting in development and implementation projects which promote automation and efficiency as well as work with IT in the development/enhancement of trade entry. Processing all aspects of periodic resets for vanilla and exotic IRS, CDS, and TRS products. Carrying out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact. Communicating effectively with both internal partners and clients, tailoring info to audience as required. Skills / Experience. Proven work experience, preferably in OTC Middle Office or Operations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven team player, taking ownership for own role while contributing to wider team efforts. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures, familiar with financial markets and instruments and Hedge Fund structures. Client service experience. Awareness of EMIR regulatory impact on OTC middle office. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a demanding and fast growing department.
