What you need to know. You will work as a Business Analyst - Derivatives Change Management for our client, an Investment Bank company in Limerick. Our client is one of the world’s leading financial institutions. This is a great opportunity to become part of the team. Working as a Business Analyst in the Derivatives Team you will work independently and be responsible for providing expertise and analysis for Derivatives practice initiatives. You will be accountable for completion of project initiatives and ensure solutions are progressed to address current and future business challenges. You will be responsible for articulating business requirements and creating specifications for processes, system enhancements and development projects. This is a 19- week contract job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Develop detailed, comprehensive business requirements designed to meet business objectives and with an appropriate risk profile, ensuring adherence to Project Management Life Cycle standards. Demonstrate an understanding of the business need, systems architecture, partners/stakeholder impacts, and how the prescribed solution achieves core objectives. Continuously maintain the accuracy of project status documentation. Regularly communicate progress towards achieving project goals to sponsors and stakeholder. Understand the most effective path towards resolution and escalate issues appropriately. Review documents, existing procedures, and current processes and recommend where automation or improved processes can be implemented. Facilitate, co-ordinate and execute all levels of testing required, ensuring Stakeholders and end users are sufficiently prepared and engaged in appropriate testing cycles. Document, track, research and resolve any technical/process issues; identify and track defects and change requests. Maintain project schedules on smaller initiatives, monitors progress toward completion of projects and adjusts schedule or tasks as needed. Complete and verify all implementation tasks. Interact with Technology, Product Management and Operations to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables or improve processes. Identify impact of changes and processes on staff. Help facilitate acceptance of change through training and communication. Combine strong analytical skills with subject matter expertise in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate solution and/or direction is taken. Experience: An undergraduate/bachelor’s degree with minimum 5-10 years related work experience in Derivative Operations, Derivative Change Management or Derivative Trading. Business Analysis experience with an Investment Bank or other major Financial Institution. Thorough knowledge of OTC derivatives products, their structures, behaviours and trade life cycles. Experience of the full Project Management Life Cycle from inception to closure. Able to collaborate with various partner areas and drive discussions through to decisions. Able to establish, build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with individuals in virtual teams across the organization. Able to present material to Stakeholders and capture feedback in a structured manner. Attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple concurrent projects. Desirable: Project management experience. Client Service experience.
