The primary function of the IT Infrastructure Engineer is to work as part of the European Infrastructure team to support the Core IT Infrastructure for Cook Medical in the EMEA region. Position:IT Infrastructure Engineer. Reporting to:IT Infrastructure Manager. Responsibilities: •Manage and administer key Microsoft technologies, such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, WDS, Exchange, SQL, IIS. •Installation, Configuration and maintenance of core networking equipment (Switches, Routers, F5 APM, F5 GTM, F5 LTM. •Firewall configuration and maintenance. •Installation and Maintenance of Server Infrastructure including hardware maintenance and server patching. •Offer both Desktop and Server support as required. •Manage Daily, Weekly and Monthly Backup cycles. •Create and maintain technical documentation. •Join with global infrastructure teams to deliver key project results in line with the Global IT Strategy for the company. •Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf. Qualifications: •Formal Information Technology or equivalent qualification desirable. •Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a Technical role (Hardware, Software, Networking, Telecoms. •Industry Certified Professional Qualifications an advantage (MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, VCP, RHCE. •Strong technical understanding of Active Directory, Server Operating Systems, Exchange, Virtualization, SAN Storage, Networking, Firewalls, VPN and SQL. •Linux Experience an advantage. •Experience with products such as Commvault, VEEAM, Rightfax, Symposium Contact Center and Solarwinds an advantage. Requirements: •A team player with strong technical and interpersonal skills. •Proven problem-solving skills with an ability to work on your own initiative. •Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure and meet deadlines. •Willingness to work outside core business hours if required. •High self-motivation. •Willingness to travel on company business.
