Energy Engineer. I am currently seeking an Energy Engineer for an Energy Management company in Limerick. The company develops energy monitoring systems which monitor, oil, gas, water, carbon and electricity for industrial and commercial customers worldwide. The Energy Manager will lead deployment of energy efficiency solutions for industrial and commercial customers. And will also be responsible for the management of the product support team. I am seeking a candidate whom is flexible, hardworking and not afraid to get their hands dirty. You may be a qualified energy engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer or have a primary degree in electronics. Regardless, you will be expected to understand how to deliver high value services to industrial and commercial customers. Responsibilities: Work with the sales team to develop new business opportunities in the professional services space. Manage the delivery of new Advisor installations, incorporating metering, data-acquisition and telecoms. Manage the delivery of new energy efficiency projects to customers. Work with finance to ensure that proper budgets are developed for new projects and that those same projects are managed to those budgets. Provide customers and other stakeholders with regular, high quality updates on progress, etc. Ensure that the correct safety standards and documentation are applied to new projects. Remain knowledgeable and conversant regarding the state of the art in Facilities Management, energy efficiency technology, government incentives, etc. Work with subcontractors to ensure high standards of delivery. Manage the tender application process. Manage Quality and EHS Processes and procedures and ensure that the correct safety standards and documentation are applied to new projects. Equipment supplier management. Manage the product support team to ensure high quality product support that conforms to and exceeds customers' expectations. Requirements. Excellent knowledge of standard office packages. Degree level qualification in any of the following: Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, or some other numerate or relevant discipline. Strong oral and written communication skills. Process oriented, methodical, people management. Conversant with technical drawings and the tools required to manipulate them. Project management. Practical experience in any and all of the following is a major advantage: Scada BMS, industrial lighting systems, energy efficiency policy, facilities management, project management. Practical experience in industrial electrical switchgear, mechanical process flows, Practical Quality Health and Safety management, ideally PSCS certification. Membership of CIBSE or IEI would be an advantage. Energy related qualifications or certifications are a major advantage. Ability to manage projects and to be self-sustaining with minimal oversight. Proficiency with MS Office. Ability to work well with all levels of management, colleagues and external contacts to deadlines.
