Site Process Engineering Manager - Limerick. In this role your responsibilities will include: Working as part of a Senior Leadership Team in Engineering and collaborating with Operations and R&D to deliver world-class new products – ensuring product knowledge is within your function, and the factory is successful from a PQ and ramp perspective. Ensure good working relationships with R&D, critical to ensure DTV/DFM principles and agreements are followed through. You will lead a team of nearly 20 highly capable Engineers (from graduate to Principal Engineer) to deliver base business commitments, project timelines, new line Product Qualifications and NPI. You will set strategic direction for the Process Engineering function ensuring the correct skills are hired and developed, with specific focus on product/ materials, tools and the use of data. You will also be expected to contribute on broader engineering topics and forums, and build strong collaborations within industry and within the company for the success of local and global agendas. This role is recognised within the organization as being of key strategic importance in terms of enabling the business to remain competitive and grow market share. You will be responsible for the material/ data and product side of the Engineering function. Your team will work with the machine designers and mechanical engineers to design upgrades to improve product performance and yields on the manufacturing lines. Your team will own characterising, OQ, PQ activities for base products, enhancements and NPI rollout. You will be the direct link with R&D to represent the site. Interested applicants should have: A minimum qualification of Level 8 B.Sc. or B.Eng. Honours Degree in Engineering/Science with a p roven track record of leading & managing teams, and developing and executing strategic agendas. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management position, preferably leading engineering teams. You will enjoy problem solving and working through complex projects, applying best practices of A3, DMAIIC, statistical knowledge and Black belt principles, and most importantly ensuring your team are up-skilling and applying these methodologies. Championing the use of data and analysis is a key part to this role and should excite the right candidate. You should be constantly looking for new challenges and thrive in an ever-changing cross-functional environment; be comfortable challenging the status quo and enjoy developing innovative solutions.
