Sr Chemist is required for a leading medical device company based in Limerick . The companies FDA regulated Limerick facility has grown consistently over the last 20 years to become one of the most important sites in its global operations. This facility specialises in the production of disposable contact lenses in a state of the art operation which includes injection moulding, robotics, vision systems and sterilisation systems in a Class 100,000 cleanroom environment. The facility has over 50 fully automated manufacturing lines and the product is untouched by a human hand from start to finish of the process. The Sr Chemist will: o Trains other QC analysts in laboratory methods and procedures when required. o Performs Chemical testing activities in relation to method validation and technical transfer activities. o Executes testing activities as specified in IQ/OQ and PQ protocols so as to ensure that all relevant equipment is qualified for cGMP use. o Performs routine Chemical testing activities during Plant production phase. o Reviews laboratory test results when required. o Writes and reviews laboratory SOPs as directed by company policy. o Ensures QC activities are carried out in compliance with product licence commitments, cGMP and company quality standards. The Sr Chemist will require: o 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline. o 2 years experience in a similar position. o Must have peer review/technical writing. o HPLC, Empower and dissolution experience specifically.
