Responsibilities of the role: Develop hardware and software for power electronics circuits and electronic systems. Act as primary link between design and manufacturing for failure analysis of product. Conform and develop with internal and external customer specifications. Optimisation of existing functional electronic circuits. Support of relevant departments during product development phase, production and product transfer periods. Validation support for the implementation of engineering changes effecting product software and hardware. Liaise with the Test Development and AQT engineers on the introduction of new products. Continual review of current technologies in KOI, from this implement improvements with regard to speed and reliability. Investigation and implementation of potential test time reduction and optimisation. Support warranty analysis process and recommend product improvements. Provide training and mentoring to other engineers and technicians. Involvement in “quick response” situations for production test problems. Health and safety for self and others. Additional duties assigned by your Supervisor / Manager. Education and Experience required: Level 8 Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent. 3 years experience in Electronic/Computer Hardware and Software. Experience in automotive and high frequency power electronics is essential. Familiarity with high voltage safety standards and requirements is essential. Knowledge of and involvement with microcontroller based systems. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is essential. Knowledge of CAN communication protocols is desirable and familiarity with quick basic and / or Visual Basic, JAVA, C / ++ is desirable. German Language an advantage.
