We currently have an opportunity based in Limerick City for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide both hardware and software support to internal users. This position will also provide remote support to two other sites. Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer: Active Directory Administration. Basic Exchange and File Server Administration. Basic VMWare Administration. Knowledge of Terminal Server - RDS based end user environment. Thin Client, Desktop, laptop configuration and troubleshooting. Microsoft Office configuration and troubleshooting. Printer Configuration and troubleshooting. Network Patching and switching when assigning devices to VLANs. Good ticket administration ensuring accurate reporting on SLAs. Working with I.S. Management on the upgrading of key systems. Technical Requirements & Experience. Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience as a desktop engineer / server administrator. (Coming from a field engineer back ground would be an advantage.) MCSA Certification or equivalent experience. Knowledge and experience in working with a ticketing system would be an advantage. Excellent Client facing skills. Experience working on WordPress - an advantage. Good troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with 3rd party vendors.
