As Metrology Technician you will be required to complete of checks, maintenance and calibration of a wide range of dimensional equipment such as Dial Gauges, Calipers, and Gauge Blocks etc. Responsibilities: Completion of checks, maintenance and calibration of a wide range of dimensional equipment such as Dial Gauges, Calipers, Gauge Blocks etc. Verification of Overlays for production parts. Identifying key measurements to be tested for new gauges and custom tooling. Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner in compliance with GMP. Work with team as required to facilitate monthly activities. Document all activities on to automated system for all tooling and gauging. Trend and analyse performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of calibration systems. Minimum Qualification Required: Qualified apprenticeship in tool making. Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Applied Physics and Instrumentation. 3 years working experience in industry, (preferably in a medical Device) or as a supplier to Medical device client. Skills/Experience Required: Ability to read and understand technical and tooling drawings and engineering documentation. Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Experience in Gauge R&R. Experience in identifying specifications and tolerances. Experience in process limits and specification limits. Willingness and Ability to develop a proficiency in engineering type-specific software programs and systems. Excellent Communication / Documentation and Interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently. Flexibility and willingness to work with Manager/Supervisor to ensure the job gets completed in a compliant manner. Experience in using or programing CMM’s.
