As the Scandinavian Account Manager you are responsible for setting the tone and directing how the client’s business is managed, driving the overall strategic direction of the brand, leading the development of the best work possible and optimizing all revenue opportunities leading to growth of the account. Work with the Commercial Director to support the team in providing smart, relevant strategic solutions to our existing clients. Grow the client by building deeper and more extensive relationships with them and work with the team in the support of new business development opportunities. Responsibilities. You will work with our internal marketing and IT team as well as our external media agency through the proposal, production, and post-production phases of marketing, representing the client’s interests, winning business and growing the account by seeking new revenue opportunities. You will both grow and deepen our relationship with the clients by driving innovative creative solutions and by ensuring that we add value at every stage of the process. You will take accountability for owning the client relationship, and understanding their long-term objectives. Act as the main point for contact for the client. Work proactively with the client ensuring measurement criteria are in place and reported upon. You will know your clients business inside out. It will be your passion to know about your client’s competitors, the marketplace within they operate, global trends, industry best-practice so that you can prove to be a valued partner to your clients by: You will proactively seek opportunities to do more for our clients. You will apply your passion for marketing, your general marketplace knowledge and your deep understanding of the client’s needs to shape smart, relevant proactive proposals. You will work with the Commercial Director to explore new business opportunities, assessing both the opportunity and the approach and converting those opportunities into business. Drive the growth of the business by working proactively with senior clients on future campaign initiatives, by having an interest in marketing trends and by understanding the client’s marketplace and business drivers. You will foster team cohesion and command respect and authority whilst motivating the team to achieve shared goals. A successful Account Manager will own overall responsibility for project, account, or department budgets. You will manage the budget process from a profit generation perspective including expense management, client quoting and profit modelling. You will provide accurate reporting in preparation for reforecast calls. You will demonstrate an awareness of profitability of your accounts. Stay abreast of client billing escalation issues and ensure they are being resolved. You will provide guidance to finance and procurement to effectively negotiate with clients. Requirements. 2-4 years marketing/client service experience. Digital understanding and theoretical knowledge to provide direction to client. Strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated account management competencies: accountability for results, client focus, team effectiveness, developing others, sales drive, organizational sophistication and influencing others.
