What you need to know. Matrix Recruitment is working closely with our client, a Food Manufacturing company seeking to recruit a Maintenance Manager in Co. Tipperary . This company is currently undergoing major expansion. As the Maintenance Manager you will manage and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department to optimise the performance of the manufacturing facility. This is a permanent position. Key duties & responsibilities: Deliver a high-quality maintenance service on site and take responsibility for all aspects of the maintenance function on site. Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting, preventative maintenance. Ensure preventative maintenance schedule is always up to date and manage the CMMS system. Responsible for identifying critical plant assets and ensuring required spares and PM programs are in place. Responsible for ensuring that factory equipment operates to design capacities. Demonstrate leadership in the area of safety and ensure all engineering activities are developed in the company. Responsible for maintaining the plant asset register. Responsible for the suitable selection & hiring of Maintenance technical staff in support of the business. Ensure contingency response for out of hours and critical failures. Report and communicate effectively with the senior management. Ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with the management team on a continuous basis. Observe all onsite and legislative rules and regulations. What are we looking for? Degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) or relevant trade. 4-5 years’ experience in a maintenance management role ideally with experience in the food sector. Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment essential. Highly motivated self-starter and ability to lead and manage a lead of maintenance technicians. Strong inter-personal and communication skills. Knowledge of safety standards, hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to maintenance work.
