Our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Shannon has a requirement for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This is a permanent full-time position which is offering an excellent salary and benefits. Responsibilities: Implement the Site Preventative Maintenance Programme as directed by the Maintenance Team Lead to ensure that all equipment is maintained in good running order and that breakdowns are minimised ensuring targets and objectives are met in an effective and efficient manner. Maintain the diverse equipment on site to a high standard in accordance with EH&S and cGMP regulations. Provide Timely response to unplanned breakdowns of any service to the various functions on site. Liaise with the Engineering Team and actively contribute in modification and redesign of equipment to maximise plant equipment life and efficiency. Analyse, identify and assess specific reasons for machine breakdown/fault. Maintain and record data, including part usage from Stores, input data into relevant maintenance systems as required and in compliance with current regulations and policies especially in the areas of Safety, Environmental and Quality. Work with external maintenance contractors to facilitate the repair, maintenance and knowledge build up on equipment. Maintain effective communication within the department and interdepartmentally with respect to work completion and shift handovers. Make recommendations for systems, facility and equipment improvements as part of day to day duties. Qualifications and Experience: Must be a time served and qualified fitter. Minimum 5 years relevant experience. Preferably in a multinational, regulated pharmaceutical or chemical industry. Practical hands-on experience of plant facilities and process equipment/technology. GMP / IPPC licensed environment. Pneumatics and Hydraulics qualification /experience. P&ID and electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematic diagram understanding and experience. Excellent working knowledge of safety and environmental systems and procedures.
