BD is seeking an innovative and driven Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join our Genomic Sciences R&D team based in our Research Centre Ireland in Limerick. You will lead and drive the collaboration with leading research institutions in Ireland to develop novel clinical and commercial applications for single cell genomics.

Be the Genomics Data Research Fellow

• Be highly independent and analytical problem solving skills to tackle the issues in each project in innovative and practical ways
• Actively contribute to the design of experiments
• Guide the use and implementation of bioinformatics tools and pipelines
• Analyze flow cytometry and sequencing data to deliver actionable and reproducible results
• Responsible for working collaboratively with other team members of various backgrounds and skills to complete aggressive program objectives

Be Qualified

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
• Data analysis programming skills in R or Python
• Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, or data mining
• Database experience - SQL
• Experience in working with NGS and flow cytometry data
• Familiarity with open-source bioinformatics tools
• General knowledge of genomics and molecular biology
• Strong collaboration and communication skills - ability to work closely with scientists and communicate complex ideas effectively
• Substantial domestic travel in Ireland and some international travel to US is required
• Post-doctoral fellowship position is for a duration of 12 months
