BD is looking for a highly talented Electronics/Electrical Technician who will be responsible for providing technical support by working with electrical engineers or third party test resources to carry out test protocols and meet product requirements for robust designs. As part of an expanding team you will have excellent opportunities to broaden your knowledge and develop your career within a Global business. Be the Electronics Technician. Executes test protocols under the direction of engineering with interfaces to lab equipment and/or data acquisition systems. Maintains electrical equipment in working order to test product within specified requirements and works with lab coordinator and electrical engineers to maintain current calibration. Maintains cleanliness of R&D lab. Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools such as soldering machines, wire strippers, etc. Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings. Requires application of basic/standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Develops solutions to problems of up to moderate scope and complexity, as assigned, through the exercise of judgment within defined practices and policies for determining appropriate actions. Proficiency in use of standard electrical test equipment. Knowledge of LabVIEW and data acquisition systems. Be Qualified. A combination of equivalent education and experience or a minimum of training beyond high school or secondary school in a technical discipline with more than 6 years relevant experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Or a minimum of an Associate Degree with less than 2 years relevant experience. Ability to plan and organise. Ability to work with little supervision and under pressure. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Experience of working in a collaborative engineering environment. Computer literate. The BD Difference.
