Purpose of Role: The purpose of this role is to inspect Medical Device materials, subassemblies and parts for conformance to customer specifications. The role also requires the inspector to perform Outbound Quality Audits (OQA) on materials or finished products being shipped to the customer or its customers. This is a fixed term contract with potential for permanency. Principle Function and Accountabilities: Performs visual inspection of materials to ensure that all products meet the established specifications. Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected. Utilizes gages, templates, microscopes and other measurement aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications. Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems. Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels. Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified. Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection. Assists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product. Performs OQA inspection on material orders and Finished Goods orders. Liaising with customer planning quality and logistics teams. Take an active role in 5S and Lean projects. Requirements: Education, Skills & Attributes Required. Completion of Leaving Certificate, vocational training or equivalent is preferred. 1+ years’ experience in a regulated warehouse environment preferred. Experience in the use ERP and WMS IT systems a positive. Knowledge of ISO and cGMP requirements a plus. Attention to detail & accuracy of work. Highest quality standards expected & required.
