Our Client is a Global Supply Chain Company now looking for a Senior Design Manager to be based in Limerick or Dublin. This role will have the responsibility for and ownership of the design and costing of client-driven global supply chain solutions. Providing support to the global business development function by liaising with all functional areas required to deliver any given client requirement. Including but not limited to IT, Finance, Logistics, Planning, Procurement and Legal. This role will be based in Dublin or Limerick. Essential Responsibilities: Manage the development of client specific solutions in conjunction with the Business Development team; Participate in client calls, meetings and workshops to design bespoke solutions where appropriate; Build a comprehensive and fully costed model for each given client solution; The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this position. Create client-specific Business Requirement Documents detailing the scope and deliverables for each solution; Creation of client specific Business Requirements Documents, Statements of Work and fully costed solutions to hand over to the implementation function; Responsible for creation and accuracy of these documents to ensure that colleagues in the implementation function have a clear line of sight of requirements and deliverables on handover; Defining the individual Statement of Work for these solutions for all parties involved in the supply chain solution; Work with global partners in the delivery of each solution, mainly 3PL providers; Generate reports specific to the progress of ongoing clients’ bids, win rates, opportunities won and lost, etc.; Interacting at a detailed level with our global operations in defining solutions/processes, and coordination of detail relative to process enhancement/implementation; The candidate will work closely with our clients and the business development team, taking a lead role in new client and service solution design. Experience Required: The candidate will be customer focused, taking a participatory role in the business development function and will have a history of proven supply chain development and execution; Educated to degree level in supply chain, business or engineering with a minimum of 5+ year’s relevant experience; A deep understanding of supply chain management and methodologies, capable of interacting with and understanding key functions of the business; Excellent Customer facing and communication skills; Commercial acumen with regard to cost to serve and profitable price model development; Good understanding of cost to serve management techniques and have the ability to recognise and implement best practice associated with new business opportunities and new opportunities from existing clients. Analytical ability with the capability to understand clients’ business challenges, solve complex problems and promote client-centric solutions; Ability to propose alternative and innovative solutions as part of customer focused workshops and development initiatives; Experience within hiting targets. Excellent presentation skills. Fully conversant with all global supply chain methodologies with a passionate interest in new concepts and developments in the delivery of supply chain solutions with an innate understand. of how to implement practical solutions; Have a working knowledge and understanding of ERP systems, knowledge of SAP or equivalent systems would be an advantage; Advanced level skills in Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint; The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this position.
