Description

IT Systems Engineer – Laboratory Systems. PE Global requires an IT Systems Engineer for one of our client sites in Limerick, this position will be for 12 months initially. The successful candidate will be responsible for the support and maintenance of local laboratory applications as well as project managing system upgrades/enhancements. Specific responsibilities include: • Act as an IT point of contact for the Laboratory users for the purpose incident/issue escalations/troubleshooting and/or general changes. • Work as part of a project team to manage the IT deliverables associated with new system introductions in the laboratories. • Provide Technical solutions for business activities. • Support and maintenance of local laboratory applications. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum of 3 years’ of relevant experience and a BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience with advanced degree. • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a regulated environment. • Experience of supporting QC laboratory systems is preferred but not essential. • Project management competencies are required. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft® Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7 & Windows Server 2003/2008. • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Windows File Security permissions. • Computer Systems Validation experience is desirable but not essential. • Strong problem solving skills and an ability to analyse scenarios to develop the most appropriate solution are required. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. • Strong documentation skills. • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines. • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment. • Ability and flexibility to perform all other job-related and ad-hoc duties as required. • Ability to understand customer processes in order to tailor appropriate solutions. • Minimum of 3 years’ of relevant experience and a BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience with advanced degree. • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a regulated environment. • Experience of supporting QC laboratory systems is preferred but not essential. • Project management competencies are required. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft® Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7 & Windows Server 2003/2008). • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Windows File Security permissions. • Computer Systems Validation.
