Unijobs are currently recruiting for an information analyst/report developer for an expected initial time frame of 6 months with the potential for extension. The position will be based with our public sector client in Limerick. You will be working in a fast paced environment, where working on one's own initiative and as part of a team will be an integral part of the position. You must be available to start ASAP. You must demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills to meet objectives within agreed timeframes and achieve quality results. Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organisational skills including an awareness of resource management. Demonstrate the ability to improve efficiency within the working environment ability and the ability to evolve and adapt to a rapid changing environment. Self-motivation and an innovative approach to the job within a changing working environment are expected. INFORMATION ANAYLST. Produce quantitative and/or qualitative analysis and reports. Develop data import routines. Develop extracts for agencies outside the UL Hospital Group. Assist cleansing and transforming data. Test new software or upgrades to existing systems and ensure the proposed system is compatible with existing reporting structures. Produce specification documents for new/upgraded reports. Maintain version control and updating specifications for reports and modules. Assist end-users in interpreting data. Demonstrable experience of liaising with staff, determining requirements, and successful delivery of appropriate information. GENERAL. Provide assistance/support to other staff members when required. Provide cross cover support for all the hardware and user support within the Hospital including holidays, Sick leave. Perform administrative tasks necessary to complete role. Keep up to date with new innovations. Delivery of high quality customer service. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability and customer service focus. Professional Knowledge. Database technologies (e.g. SQL Server) desirable. Knowledge of reporting and analytic tools (e.g. SQL, Crystal Reports, R) desirable. Microsoft Excel. A knowledge of relevant hospital ICT systems is desirable. An understanding of the relationship between various data sources in a hospital or other domain.
