Senior Analog Design Engineer - Limerick. Our client seeks an experiencedAnalog Design Engineer with proven experience in development of mixed signal circuits in the field of power management and switch mode power supply regulators. The primary responsibility will be the chip level design of power management IC's. The successful candidate must be able to design the analog building blocks required in these systems. This position arisesaspart of a growing and dynamic team of IC Design Engineers and Mask Designers with frequent interaction with other development sites worldwide. The work includes mentoring the team in analog and mixed signal design techniques, contribute to the definition and improvement for analog circuit design technique, design flows and tools and design reviews. Work with the Application and Marketing teams and customers to define next generation products. Interested applicants should have: BSEE qualification, MSEE preferred. In-depth knowledge and some years of proven experience in analog circuit design. Strong electrical engineering background. Experience in leading full chip activity like circuit block spec definition, top-level simulations, design verification and silicon evaluation. Experience in design of basic analog circuits such as operational amplifiers, analog filters, linear regulators, comparators, voltage and current reference system, Oscillators, ESD protection circuits etc. Must have a working knowledge of CAD design environments/usages and experience with the following EDA tools: Cadence framework, AMS simulators, Virtuoso, Mentor Calibre. Matlab or equivalent system level simulators is a plus. Good knowledge of CMOS technologies both non-isolated and isolated, BiCMOS. Thorough understanding of simulation models and transistor-level simulations is essential. Good understanding of analog layout for performance and should be able to guide Mask Designers. Candidate should be hands-on in testing / debugging ICs in the lab environment and should be able to guide Test Engineers on ATE. Clear verbal and written communications skills are important.
