Working as a member of the environmental team, this Environmental Analyst position will provide the successful candidate with experience in all aspects of the environmental management of an energy intensive facility in a highly regulated chemical process industry. The site operates under an Industrial Emissions license and a Greenhouse Gas permit. The site's Environmental Management System is certified to the ISO 14001 standard. The Successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills. Responsibility, accountability and teamwork are key elements of the organisation. They will facilitate and support you in utilising and developing your skills, knowledge and experience. The Industrial Emissions licensed site includes. * A 180 hectare residue disposal area for dry disposal of extractive tailings. * A 165 MW Combined Heat and Power plant (largest in Britain & Ireland. Key Responsibilities. The successful candidate will have responsibility for a range of environmental duties including: * Liase with research facilities on relevant research programs. * Monitoring, control and reporting on relevant pilot plant facilities. * Sampling and analysis for compliance in the following areas: * Emissions to air. * Emissions to water. * Waste streams. * Preparation of reports to EPA and plant personnel. * Liase with plant personnel on environmental matters. * Maintenance of the extensive environmental documentation database. * Liaison with the EPA and external environmental contractors. Requirements. * Environmental science/engineering/management degree or equivalent. * Minimum of 3 years relevant experience related to an IE or IPPC licensed facility. * Familiarisation with environmental legislation.
